Sit and relaxWe ask you to rest for a few minutes so we get an accurate reading.
Quick readingA cuff on your upper arm measures your blood pressure.
BMI checkWe can also check your weight and BMI.
Clear adviceWe explain your results and whether you should see your GP.
Before and after
Before your appointment- Avoid caffeine and exercise for 30 minutes before
- Wear a top with loose sleeves
- Bring your medicines list if you take any
Afterwards- Keep a note of your reading
- Follow any advice to see your GP
- Come back for regular checks

We advise on next steps, which may include seeing your GP or a 24-hour monitor.
